Eight Days of Hope

When did this happen?  October 25th to November 2nd 2008.

 

What is the group?          Eight Days of Hope

                                          www.eightdaysofhope.com

 

Who are these people:   Headquartered in Tupelo Mississippi

              They came from 41 States and 4 Canadian Provinces
              972 from outside Linn County and 526 from Linn County

How many volunteered?   1,498 volunteered!!
(The most volunteers for an Eight Day effort was 1,280 volunteers.)

                                            

How many homes?          120 homes had at least one project completed
                                            302 projects completed

 

Total number of man hours:    40,419

Total value of donated labor:  $1.7 million dollars

                                           

What happens next for homes not finished?   We will be working with groups coming to our area in the next few months to complete the work as we are able.
