Serve the City Partners

Partner Philosophy

We have an updated list of congregations and ministries from the Regional Church who have said “yes” to serve together in our Region. There are other Christ based groups in our Region; the ones listed in our Partners List have found a way to serve together.

We believe that we are “better together” when it comes to serving Jesus The Christ.

We agree with The Lausanne Covenant which is our common Statement of Faith.

Each Partner has their own unique Statement of Faith.

We confess what we confidently know and understand; we have not, in our own human endeavors created our unity! Unity is a work of the Holy Spirit.

We also confess that all those who have bowed their knee to Jesus as Lord and Savior are “one in Christ.” Romans 12:5, Philippians 1:27, Colossians 3:15, I John 3:23

We desire that our willingness and ability to serve together would be a visual “no” to the question that Paul asked all the Believers in the City of Corinth “has Christ been divided?” * We say never! * I Corinthians 1:13

We understand that we are called to a lifestyle of “being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-7 is set before us!

“Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”

We confess that we (together) are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you (we) may proclaim the excellencies of Him Who has called you (us) out of darkness into His marvelous light.” I Peter 2:9

Further, according to I Corinthians 3, when we ignore the previous statement, we cannot be called “spiritual men and spiritual women;” we are told we are simply walking around like “mere men” & “mere women” – we are insulting the grace of God.

This graphic below represents our heart and one representation of The Church of God in our Region. We continually ask the questions “What can we do together that we cannot do alone? What can we do better together than we can do alone?”
