Tuesdays, 7:30 AM, River of Life Church, Coffee Shop
General city-wide prayer open to anyone who would like to attend. Hosted by River of Life Church. For more information please contact Duane McLean on (319) 899-0315.
Tuesdays, 12 – 1 PM, Speight Home, 3434 Riverside Drive NE
This pastors prayer and men’s group currently meets in-person and on Zoom Calls at the home of Dick & Kim Speight of Come Rest Ministries. This group of shepherds has been meeting for over three decades in the Cedar Rapids area. Participants pray deeply for the world, the Body of Christ and one another. Wednesdays, 12 – 12:30 PM, Green Square Park
Prayer time open to anyone, including all STC partners or interested individuals. Led by Executive Director Carl Gonder. Prayer time for the city of Cedar Rapids, including our mayor, government officials and for issues such as crime, homelessness and public safety. Wednesdays, 6:30 – 7:30 PM, Oakland Church of the Nazarene, 3000 42nd Street NE
Open prayer time held each week in the fellowship hall. (Also held on Saturdays 7 – 8 PM in the chapel). For more information, please contact the church at (319) 393-7399.
Thursdays, 8 – 9 AM, Faith Bible Church, 1800 46th Street NE
Open to senior pastors or ministry leaders. Method of prayer is around praying a passage of scripture with no open sharing. Led by local pastors. For more information, please email [email protected].
Saturdays, 11 AM – 12 PM, Word of Faith Church, 2325 16th Avenue SW
Intercessory prayer open to anyone and led by Word of Faith staff with masks and social distancing. For more information, please contact the church at (319) 363-3654.
Other prayer initiatives that are taking place on a weekly or monthly basis:
Liz Rhodes’s intercessory prayer for Israel (Thursday nights).
Maria Sherman’s prayer group for the nation/city (Monday nights).
Wanda/Shirley’s Thursday morning prayer group.
ROC Center has prayer walks (weather permitting) on Fridays 9 – 10:30 AM.
ROC Center worship/prayer the last Saturday night of each month.
First Assembly of God has worship/prayer the first Wednesday of the month.
Calvary Chapel Church has prayer every Wednesday night.
Lifeline Church has prayer every day at noon and Saturday mornings.
New Covenant Bible Church has regular prayer for unreached people groups.
Numerous other prayer opportunities are currently happening on Zoom Calls, etc. We are currently conducting a “prayer inventory” of all prayer activity happening in the Cedar Rapids area that is open to interested individuals. (This is not a listing of closed groups or “invitation only” groups).
